In school, Yaiba defeats the kendo champion, Takeshi Onimaru, who then vowed revenge. Takeshi gains the legandary sword of Fuujin (Devil Wind) to dominate all of Japan, so Yaiba has to get the sword of Raijin (Thunder God), the only sword that can defeat the Fuujin sword. The series follows Yaiba's journey to attain the sword, and then to save the earth from the Moon Princess, Full Moon & Half Moon.Gosho Aoyama wrote this 24-tankoubon series from 1988 to 1993. He's currently writing the Meitantei Conan series.
