Cats, Yuuto & the devotion of a maiden From that anime blog: The slapstick romantic comedy centers around an ordinary 16-year-old high school boy named Yuuto Amakawa who is protected by a spirit — specifically, a beautiful, sword-wielding cat girl spirit named Himari. Yuuto is descended from a family that has subjugated demons since time immemorial. The charm that once protected him is now impotent, but fortunately, at that same moment, Himari appears before him as his new guardian. To date, 9 tankoubon have been released of the main Omamori Himari manga, pictured on top. In addition to the manga, there is also an ongoing light novel series, and 4 books of that have been released so far (pictured on bottom). Matra Milan is the author and artist. Both series are published in Japan by Kadokawa Shoten (Monthly Dragon Age) for the manga, and the manga is pulished in America by Yen Press. Matra has also done a couple of spin-off manga of the series.
