From the Bandai release: I thought that when I entered high school, my days of believing in aliens, time travelers and ESPers, Haruhi Suzumiya was the strangest girls I've met in a long time. Before I knew what's going on, I've been dragged into her weird club, and it looks like I'm not the only one who has been drafted into this 'SOS BRIGADE' of hers, because there are three other students who don't seem to be so ordinary themselves. Either way we've all found ourselves caught up in Haruhi's quest to search for all things extraordinary. And what's this I hear about us making a movie? Nagaru Tanigawa is the author of both the light novels that the anime is based on and the subsequent manga. Noizi Ito (who also did the art for Shakugan no Shana) is the artist for both types of books. Gaku Tsugano is an additional artist for the manga series. (The manga all have different titles, in the format of "Suzumiya Haruhi no xxxx" or "The xxxx of Suzumiya Haruhi." Some names of the manga are, "The separation of Suzumiya Haruhi," "The resentment of Suzumiya Haruhi," "The trembling of Suzumiya Haruhi," and "The reckless driving of Suzumiya Haruhi." One of them is pictured on top.) Both series are published in Japan by Kadokawa Shoten. There is also a manga named "Suzumiya Haruhi-chan no Yuuutsu" (bottom image).In addition to the multiple anime and book releases, Haruhi is also on the web.
