In the future, demons have the ability to fuse with machinery and infest corpses have started terrorizing mankind. They are called 'Amalgams', but no one knows how they are created, or their abilities. As the random outbreaks continue, the general population starts to panic. They demand protection from these vicious beasts; enter XAT, a military unit created solely to counter the Amalgam threat. There is both a manga and light novel release of this series. The manga ended at 3 tankoubon and is called "Blassreiter -genetic-" (pictured on the top) while the light novels ("Blassreiter Judgement", on the bottom) is still running and has released 2 books so far. With different artists and publishing houses, they are both written by Gonzo (who was also involved with Red Garden, Vandread, Speed Grapher, and Bakuretsu Tenshi) and Nitroplus.
